Bali Siddha Ayurvedic Holistic Therapy comes with the concept of traditional and back-to-nature treatment. It is a combination of Ayurvedic and Acupuncture method with the Panca Karma system (five treatment techniques) called Tridosa, Vitha, Vatta and Kapha (diagnosing five elements of the body). It means that if one of the body elements is out of balance, the part of the body will be suffering from the disease.
Ayurvedic treatment applies the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana namely the harmonious relations of human with nature, human with fellow humans as well as human with the Creator or God.
From his teenage period, Dr. Made Sagia Ananda has been familiar with Balinese traditional medicine acquired from his grandfather, a Balinese traditional healer based on palm-leaf manuscripts better known as the Usada Bali.
Starting from self-taught, he finally loved the Balinese traditional medicine because of the role of the grandfather who always helped treat many sick people with herbal concoctions prepared from various medicinal plants.
When attending college in Bandung, he acquainted with an 88-year-old professor who had an acupuncture clinic and Made worked as his assistant until he received training and methods for acupuncture treatment.
Having completed his college studies in Bandung, he then continued to study in Shanghai, China, to deepen his acupuncture skills for one and a half years. From China, he continued to the Ayurvedic medical school majoring in Alternative Medicine at Tanjapoor University in India and he obtained Master in Yoga and Ayurvedic Therapy at Indian Holistic Medical Academy. Besides, he also successfully completed his postgraduate studies at Colombo University majoring in Alternative Medicine and being the youngest student from around the world.
To dedicate the knowledge he has obtained, he returned to Indonesia and established Bali Siddha in Jakarta. After twelve years of practice in Jakarta, he then returned to Bali and established the Bali Siddha in East Denpasar and Ubud Bali until now.
Dr. Made also handles his patients in person even though he has been assisted by several assistants. Various diseases such as cancer, pinched veins, obesity, digestive diseases et cetera have been successfully treated by using Ayurvedic and Acupuncture methods.
Patients coming to him for treatment are not only local people but also foreigners. To help faster healing, patients are given herbal medicines available at the Bali Siddha Clinic.
“We apply back-to-nature treatment because we do not want to much depend on chemical drugs that have many side effects,” he concluded. (PS/ika)
