Denpasar, 5/7 (Atnews) - Toyo University of Japan explored yoga learning at the Denpasar Hindu Dharma Institute (IHDN) to be applied in the health curriculum in Japan. “We want to invite students to learn yoga during the winter,” said Chancellor of the Toyo University, Akira Kiuchi, in Denpasar, on Friday (Jul. 5).
This was conveyed when visiting the IHDN while mutually exchanging souvenirs. He said that he wanted an exchange of information for both lecturers and students between the two parties. Learning yoga will be included in the health curriculum because making new majors is very strict in Japan.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Sudiana, the Chancellor of IHDN Denpasar, welcomed the collaboration plan. Aside from introducing Balinese yoga, it is also able to attract tourists visiting the Island of the Gods. Yoga has distinctive features and is different from yoga developed in India.
“We will also collaborate in the field of research so that there will be an increase in the quality of the campus,” he concluded. (ART/02)
