Denpasar, 31/7 (Atnews) — Chairman of Tourism Nawa Cita (NCPI) of Bali Chapter, Agus Maha Usada, will develop spiritual tourism between India and Bali. This is inseparable from the strong relationship between India and Bali since long time ago related to the journey of Rishi Agastya and Rishi Markandeya.
The journey of the ancestors to Bali is celebrated every year with a lively festival called Kalingga Bali Yatra. On that account, the close relationship of India and Bali has actually been built since the past.
The huge Indian market is very relevant to Bali culture-based tourism. For this reason, his institution will work on the potential of the Indian market, especially if it is supported by the World Hindu Parishad (WHP). “The synergy of developing Bali-based tourism with the support of WHP and Indian Consul General in Bali is a potential market going forward,” said Agus Maha in Denpasar on Wednesday (Jul. 31).
This was stated at the hearing received by the President of WHP, Dr. Made Mangku Pastika, posing a part of the roadshow agenda made by NCPI Bali with the vision of Building Sustainable, Environmental-based and Cultural Tourism which previously did the same thing with the Indian Consul General on Tuesday (Jul. 30) at the Indian Consulate Office, Renon, Denpasar.
Meanwhile, President of WHP Pastika, who is also the Advisor to NCPI Bali, challenged the NCPI Bali to concretize the program to join in the WHP to meet the invitation of Odhisa state government to attend the Kalingga Bali Yatra Festival on September 5-12, 2019.
In addition, his presence is to see directly the establishment of Padmasana which had been donated by Mangku Pastika when he was the Governor of Bali and ritually inaugurated by Ida Pedanda Bang Buruan Manuaba on April 25.
“The NCPI program is good for the development and improvement of Indian tourism to Bali in the future. I ask the NCPI to participate in the mission organized in September 2019,” said President WHP.
Mangku Pastika also added that as a new institution, it must synergize with other tourism stakeholders to actively assist the regional government. Moreover, India and Odhisa in particular has a close historical and spiritual relationship with Bali.
Odhisa is the origin of Rishi Markandeya who buried pancha datu at Besakih Temple hundreds of years ago. To commemorate its ancestors, the State of Odhisa commemorates with the celebration of the Kalinga Bali Yatra Festival.
For the response and support of the President WHP, Chairman of the NCPI and all the officials who concretized the program asked for the support of all parties, both the regional government and the community. (ART/02)
